Entry Requirements
A recognised UK Level 6 qualification or an honours degree in a relevant subject, or an equivalent international qualification
Mature learners with significant managerial experience (subject to centre approval)
Applicants must be 21 years or older

Qualification Equivalence
This diploma is regulated at RQF Level 7, equivalent to a Master’s degree. The programme awards 120 credits. Learners can progress to a university dissertation stage (60 credits) to achieve a full Master’s or MBA.
Course Structure
The qualification includes 6 mandatory units, totaling 120 credits, with 1200 hours Total Qualification Time (TQT) and 600 Guided Learning Hours (GLH).

International Tourism Policy and Development (20 credits)

Duration and Delivery
This qualification is typically completed over one academic year for full-time students. However, flexible delivery options are available for part-time and distance learners. The programme is offered through in-person classes, seminars, online learning, and hybrid formats by approved centres.
Assessment Method
All units are assessed internally and externally verified by OTHM. Learners complete assignments, projects, and research tasks that demonstrate achievement of learning outcomes. There are no final exams.
Assessors must provide a clear audit trail of how assessment decisions are made. To pass a unit, learners must meet all criteria set for that unit.
Career Progression
Graduates are well-positioned for senior roles in hospitality and tourism management worldwide. The diploma also offers pathways to Master’s degree top-up programmes at UK and international universities through advanced standing. As an Ofqual-regulated qualification, it is recognised globally.
